Alright Tilly, we’re going to explain what wobble chair does. I’m ready. Basically what you want to do is you want to hold on to the sides, you want to keep your feet flat, you’re basically going to look up. At the poster, you’re going to move your hips back and forth, side to side, and it all around like a hula hoop, okay?
So you look funny doing it, but what it’s doing there is, it’s basically putting motion into the spine, right? It’s putting motion into the hips, and it’s stretching out the spine. So when we’re doing this, as we get more comfortable with it, you can do different kind of stretches when you’re on there to get a little bit more Of a overall global type of stretch when you’re dealing with posture, right?
The technical term for this is neuromuscle re education. And what that means is basically we’re re educating your muscles from a neurological standpoint to go into more of a neutral position or kind of like a relaxed position. And get that flexibility more back into the spine. Which that’s lacking in most people.
Why? Because they’re either on their phones or on the computer and they’re rounded, right? So this almost forces you into that more upright erect position and you’re actually looking up in more of a looking up position to counteract this. So the opposite of flexion is extension.
